The Captain

Charleston-Fishing-Guide

Taught by his father who was an avid fisherman, Captain Geoff Bennett learned to fish while spending summers in Montana. He feels it’s one of the best gifts he was given by his father and little did he know that after many family fishing trips it would be his profession beginning in 2009. Capt. Bennett’s time on the water through the years has instilled in him a respect and appreciation for the outdoors.

Capt. Bennett’s passion quickly expanded to saltwater fishing with both light tackle and fly rods up and down the Eastern Seaboard. He has traveled the world from Belize to New Zealand in search of trophy fish while learning many new skills on each adventure. Along the way, Capt. Bennett realized that putting anglers on fish was just as satisfying as catching them himself. Ultimately, Charleston with its diversity of species and scenic landscape became his favorite place to fish. He looks forward to sharing this experience with you on your Charleston fishing charter.

The Boat

Charleston-Fishing-Boat

Capt. Bennett fishes from a 16ft. Hewes Bayfisher. Able to fish in under a foot of water this boat can go where most others can’t, maximizing anglers’ opportunities, while the Yahama motor provides the means to get to fishing spots quickly and safely. Paired with a Minn Kota trolling motor and a Power Pole shallow water anchor, Capt. Bennett’s Hewes is one of the best suited boats for Charleston fishing charters in the Lowcountry waterways.
